The 2018 SRECDelaware Spot Auction results have been finalized and the payments have been sent out. Winning bids can expect to receive payment through direct deposit by the end of the week. The spot auction’s weighted average auction price, including all auction fees, was $10.73. A total of 13,199 SRECs were purchased through the auction.
The 2018 SRECDelaware Spot Auction closed at 5 PM on Friday, December 7th. Delmarva Power will purchase all eligible SRECs that were bid into the auction. 13,199 SRECs were purchased through the Spot Auction. All successful bidders can expect to receive payment for their SRECs in the next 1-2 weeks. All non-eligible SRECs bid into the auction have already been returned to bidders.
This is a reminder that the 2018 Delaware SREC spot auction will be open for orders until 5:00 PM EST on December 7th. SRECs generated from June 2016 onward are eligible for the auction. Delmarva Power will purchase a minimum of 10,000 SRECs to meet their Renewable Portfolio Standard obligation in Delaware. There will be a maximum price of $11 per SREC with a $1.50 commission taken out of the proceeds. All SRECs bid into the auction must be existing SRECs in PJM-GATS, must have Delaware certification numbers, and must be from facilities physically located in Delaware.

Bid deposit returns will be initiated by ACH direct deposit on Monday, Aug 18th and should be received by Friday, Aug 24th.

The Delaware Public Service Commission has approved Delmarva Power’s 2018 SREC solicitation filing. The 2018 solicitation will be held according to the following dates:
- June 20th – Information on 2018 Solicitation posted at SRECDelaware.com
- July 17th- Instructional Webinar to be held at 2PM. Details on how to participate in the webinar will posted on the SRECDelaware website in the near future.
- July 23rd – Solicitation bid window opens at SRECDelaware.com at 9:00 am
- August 3rd – Solicitation bid window closes at 5:00 PM
